Everyone starts somewhere
In late 2021 we decided that agencies in the adult industry needed to deliver more; so we launched modelRED.
Then, as 2022 marched on we were contacted by many new performers who just wanted help and advice on the basics.
Both Gil and I felt that we had a responsibility to do something. Some of the folks approaching us were unaware of some of the industry’s Cardinal “carnal” Rules. On top of this, many more wanted to start up their own platforms but were hesitant about studio work. Then others wanted to avoid studios altogether and just wanted to find their own audience through OnlyFans, Fansly, ManyVids, or camsites.
We quickly realized, as an agency, we could do some good. So, in early 2023 we started the development of “REDx”- our aim is to educate performers about the industry, covering basics such as:
- Testing & Personal Hygiene.
- Agreeing and respecting consent agreements.
- Mental Health for them and the people they work with.
- Running a professional adult industry business.
While not everyone who participates in REDx will make studio work part of their regular income stream, the purpose of this new agency initiative is to take every opportunity we have to ensure performers have the tools they need in the toolbox to succeed and excel in the adult entertainment industry.
REDx is being built in 2023 to help new performers find their footing, and we will serve these models with their starting careers while also serving our experienced core performers who have made modelRED a reality. For all of our performers, we are working in conjunction with the Pornstar Exchange platform to augment their income streams – and this will be a place where experienced and new models alike can gain new visibility from their customer bases.
We’re building for the future. We’re building for the models. We will work to ensure that professional models get paid their due, and that newer models are learning to stay safe and how to spot predatory behaviour. And for those looking to hire the performers we serve, know that we respect their value and will fight for what they deserve.
After all, it’s not a date night. It’s a professional adult shoot – whether it’s paid, trade, collab, or content swap… we’re all here to make money.
